Many of us are called to connect with particular goddesses as part of our practice, and our altars and living spaces may include treasured objects that symbolize their energy. But practitioners of Jungian psychology such as Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen and others have taught that studying the goddess archetypes can take you even further into deciphering who you are, what makes you tick, and how to navigate changes and difficulties in your life with a sense of purpose and empowerment. This class will help you to decode your dominant archetype and lesser archetypes by encouraging self-reflection of who you are at present, and who you may have been in the past. In examining the goddesses who have accompanied you on your life’s journey, you will come to understand more about yourself, your traits, your actions, and your relationships. This will assist you in shadow work by breaking patterns that have encumbered you, leading you to a more empowered sense of self. Although this class is centered specifically on the 7 Greek goddesses, discussions around goddesses from other pantheons are welcome, and space will be held for all genders.
