Policies

Policies regarding bookings for classes, tutoring sessions, editorial and other work:

  1. Classes are non-refundable. If you have registered/paid for a class and do not attend, there is no refund for the fee you paid. If /when I offer the same class again in the future, and you request, you are permitted to join the next class. If you would like to be put on a waiting list for a future class, please let me know via email or the contact form.

  2. If you register/pay for a class, you are always able to join a future “section” of the same class. Please let me know if you plan to join so I can know to send you the private zoom link. I offer this so “alums” of a past class can attend with a new group and build our community. I do have the expectation that the “new” members of the class are “prioritized”, meaning that if they want to participate a lot, they are given "first try” at that, but I also encourage alums to weigh in with their opinions if they choose. There is no charge for attending a second time.

  3. In the case of tutoring or mentoring, registration/paying the fee means you are booked for that session. A no-show is non-refundable. If you let me know in advance that you cannot make a booked session, you will have the opportunity to be rescheduled once, but I will not keep bumping the appointment because doing so affects my availability to others. Please be on time for your appointment, and if you will be late, please let me know. If I can work a late start into my schedule, I will, but I cannot guarantee that.

  4. In the case of editorial work or indexing, 50% of the fee for my services is due to book my time working on your project and 50% is due on your receipt of the completed work. Terms regarding revisions (the type and number of them) will be discussed with you prior to us arriving at an agreement for me to take on your work. Depending on the type of editorial work, one or more revisions may or may not be included in the price. This must be decided on a case-by-case basis since all editorial work is not the same.
